Community Support: Finding Connection in New Spaces

In this Mental Health America webinar, Anthony Sartori, Executive Director and Founder of Evolving Minds, joins New York Public Library community wellness program manager Sharita K. Sims, MSW, CCHW, chief of membership and engagement officer for The Confess Project of America Darnell Rice, and community-engaged artist Sarah Johnson to talk about finding connection in community spaces.

Anthony talks about the importance of creating mentally-supportive workplaces that are engines of belonging and not despair. He emphasizes that many of the community spaces we operate in are not designed to improve our mental health and well-being. Because of that, he encourages us all to push back, speak up, and advocate for change in the workplace.

At Evolving Minds, Anthony advocates for change by helping to cultivate workplaces that put people and planet, not productivity and profit, first. In this webinar he discusses some of his techniques, including a 20-minute exercise in sharing gratitude that can have a transformative impact.
